"Midnight Television was a six-track EP released in May 2011 by Beer on the Rug (the same label that would release FLORAL SHOPPE by MACINTOSH PLUS later that year) that is considered one of – if not the – first “late night lo-fi albums”, and certainly is one of the most recognizable early releases due to its feature on the Vaporwave Ultra Guide. Today, Junk Maker Sounds released a remix album of the EP by Princess Commodore 64 – who is not affiliated with the original artist. The tracks are almost completely unrecognizable from their original sound, being given an ambient treatment by Princess Commodore 64, making it the slushwave companion to the 2011 EP."
